Who we are, where we are and what were about:First and foremost let me go on record as saying I am a born again Christian, saved by Grace through Faith by the LORD Jesus Christ. God has redeemed me, revived me and renewed me, called me to preach His gospel and He provided the means and wisdom to earn a biblically sound education, through grace, mercy and His word God transformed a drunk into a disciple. I can preach redemption as a redeemed man. I have experienced God's hand upon my life in many areas. If your searching for a website, a preacher or pastor who feels he has never experienced redemption from sin, well you better keep looking. I can say with confidence God has saved me from my sin and from myself. I am thankful for the LORDS mercy and grace on my life and His willingness to use me. I can say I have experienced hurt in my life, hurt from family, the friends of Job, Christians and non-Christians; but you will never hear me say God has ever wronged me. Through the valleys and mountains the Lord has been my shepherd. My family and I make our home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of rural western North Carolina, where we serve God as minister, preacher and pastor where He needs. Sunday morning February 2, 2003 I publicly submitted to the Lord's call to preach and that evening preached my first sermon. Shortly thereafter I was licensed into the Ministry, and on Sunday June 18, 2006 the congregation of Outreach Baptist Church called me to my first pastorate. Currently I serve as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Marion, N.C. As a preacher and teacher of the gospel my hearts desire is to see folks saved, disciples made within the church, families strengthened, congregations revived and worship returned to God honoring and Christ centered while working to awaken America to her Christian heritage. While the Bible teaches that a preacher cannot be created in a classroom, the Bible does teach the called man to prepare himself, the Lord has provided for me resources and opportunity to earn a Bachelors degree in Ministry, a Masters degree in Pastoral studies and the Doctorate of Theology all from an accredited, doctrinally sound Bible based seminary. I have tried to stay true to my humble beginnings retaining a biblically sound Old-Fashioned preaching style that is able to communicate Gods word to a spiritually starving contemporary world. I am licensed and ordained through the Southern Baptist Church. After my Savior and my family I am an outdoorsman I respect and celebrate the heritage of the frontiersmen who have settled and established Gods word in this land we call America. It is their courage and faithfulness that God has blessed by granting the freedom and the liberties we enjoy today. I love being in God's creation, gardening, hiking, fishing and hunting while reflecting on the heritage of this blessed nation. Some of my most meaningful moment's with the LORD have come on a ridge line or on a creek bank. On my special sites page there are a few places for the Christian outdoorsman and their family to visit. Drop by and let them know you appreciate their ministry. If you would like to contact the preacher click here! Pastoral Doctrine As a Southern Baptist I do support the Baptist faith and message, those who have worked on this doctrine statement have obviously labored long and hard to produce a foundational doctrine that also encourages the autonomy of the local church. I feel a pastor's foundational doctrine should also include his pastoral doctrine, how he understands his role and the qualifications of his office. Below is a link to my pastoral doctrine, this is not written casually, I have examined 1 Timothy chapter 3 and Titus chapter 1 very deeply using sound conservative hermeneutics using original manuscripts like the textus receptus along with translations known to be accurate and reliable as the word of God. Some of you will agree with me and some of you will not, in either case it is where I stand and how I roll!
