This preacher is first and foremost a sinner saved by Grace through Faith by the LORD Jesus Christ. There is nothing worthy, deserving or honorable about this man. God has redeemed me from a high school drop, called me to preach His gospel and provided me means and wisdom to earn a biblically sound education, furthermore He transformed a drunk into a disciple. I am thankful for the LORDS mercy and grace on my life and His willingness to use me. My family and I make our home in McDowell County, part of the Blue Ridge Mountains of rural western North Carolina. I am glad to say I can remember as a young man accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Sunday morning February 2, 2003 I publicly submitted to the Lord's call to preach and that evening preached my first sermon. Shortly thereafter I was licensed into the Ministry, and on Sunday June 18, 2006 the congregation of Outreach Baptist Church called me as their Pastor. Currently I serve as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Marion, N.C. As a preacher and teacher of the gospel my hearts desire is to see folks saved, disciples made within the church, families strengthened, congregations revived and worship returned to God honoring and Christ centered while working to awaken America to her Christian heritage. While the Bible teaches that a preacher can not be created in a classroom, the Bible does teach the called man to prepare himself, the Lord has provided for me resources and opportunity to earn a Bachelors degree in Ministry, a Masters degree in Pastoral studies and the Doctorate of Theology all from an accredited, fundamentally sound Bible based seminary.
After my Savior and my family I am an outdoorsman. I love being in God's creation and pursuing the wildlife He has placed here for our substance and usefulness. Some of my most meaningful moment's with the LORD have come in a tree stand or on a creek bank. On my links page are a few places for the Christian outdoorsman and their family to visit. Drop by and let them know you appreciate their ministry.

Doctrine & Philosophy
As a Southern Baptist I do support the Baptist faith and message, those who have worked on this doctrine statement have obviously labored long and hard to produce the document adopted by our convention. I feel it does fall short in addressing certain Bible doctrine that God has shown to be very important to our society today. Below is a link to material that I personally feel needs teaching and defense within our society. Some of this material may seem repetitive to the Baptist Faith and Message, I do feel you will find material that expands upon it as well. Using sound hermeneutics and being careful to avoid legalistic or liberal influence I would like to present the following link to material that when added to the Baptist faith and message comprise a biblically sound Doctrine and Philosophy of my Ministry.
