The scribe asks which commandment is most important.
Why, there are only 10 right?
The Jews had 613 commandments
365 what not to do
248 what to do
Their problem was to determine an order

Today we still do this, even the church.

answers the Question.
Using Deuteronomy 6:4 Jesus points out
(1) The unity of God “the lord is
one”
(2) Gods relationship to the Jewish
people
Our love for God should be

Love thy neighbor
But this is two commandments?
Jesus referred

If we
know the love of God, through salvation we have experienced the love God wants
us to show!
Who are
we to share with? (Who are our neighbors?)
Obvious Not
so Obvious
Those we

If you
can agree with me, that Jesus defines our neighbors as our family, co-workers,
fellow church members, employers, those who serve us, those we serve, those in
this country and those in other countries. If you can agree that, these are all
our neighbors say Amen.
Then
Answer me this why do we have so much disagreement among Christians?
& Mark 12:32-33
Agreeing with Jesus is good
Believing in Jesus is better
To Agree-to understand what’s being said
and to realize it’s true.
To Believe-to, take action upon our
understanding which allows us to have and show Gods love and His way.

Conc.: Could you agree this morning that
Jesus is the son of God? Could you agree this morning that Jesus died on a
cross, was buried and rose on the third day. Can you understand that by knowing
this you have a decision to make, can you remember a time when you confessed to
Jesus your need for a savior and ask Him to come into your heart? Christian how
are you getting along with your neighbor or how about your relationship with
God, if you know you’re saved you can never loose that, but the decisions you
make in life can hinder your walk with God. As our musicians come, and as we
sing the hymn of invitation, if God is dealing with you, heart will you come.
